I am so thankful to have been chosen for the Linda Dunn Foundation Scholarship. I feel so unbelievably grateful to be honored with this generous scholarship.

I am currently in second semester in the Dental Hygiene program at Florida Southwestern College. Before attending FSW for Dental Hygiene, I was previously a Dental Assistant. It has always been my dream to become a Dental Hygienist and help others achieve their perfect smile, and not be afraid to go to the dentist. When I was younger, I was always the terrified, screaming child in the dental office. When I told my family and friends I wanted to work in the dental field they all thought I was crazy because of my past. But that is one of the main reasons why I am in dental, to help show people you don’t need to be afraid to go to the dentist!

I am also very grateful for this scholarship because I am currently not working while being a full-time student. This scholarship will help with my school finances, so that I am able to focus on my program goals.

I respect Linda for always being thoughtful, kind, and compassionate; which I will also make it my goal for others to notice those qualities in myself. I will also strive to always offer the best care for my patients and have a strong relationship with them.

I cannot thank you enough for giving me this opportunity of the Linda Dunn Foundation Scholarship!
