Dear Dunn Foundation,

I am grateful to be awarded the Linda Dunn Scholarship for excellence in dental hygiene. It is an honor to be chosen from the many outstanding dental hygiene students in school.

I am working hard to become an excellent dental hygienist. I pride myself in providing gentle and complete oral care and treating every patient with compassion and respect. I work hard to make sure the patients have a positive experience. I understand how difficult it can be to seek oral healthcare after having a bad experience. I remember being scared of the dentist as a child but overcoming my fear after an amazing experience with a dental hygienist. I am committed to becoming a hygienist who will make a trip to the dentist a positive experience for both children and adults. Like Linda Dunn, I hope to communicate clearly with my patients and calm their fears. I want to make a difference in my community, and I look forward to educating and making a difference one smile at a time. My program at Florida Southwestern State College is preparing me to meet the challenges in the dental field. I feel confident that I will be successful in my practice. This scholarship is appreciated and will assist in my dream to practice dental hygiene. Thank you for choosing me for this award.
